The restoration had gone perfectly. The barn find was no longer just a heap of scrap and metal - it was something truly great, a homage to the glory days of the British automobile world. James examined it with admiration - from the polish on the trim to the slight wear on the tyres, everything looked so beautiful, yet so original. The only thing missing were the racing stripes, though he felt it looked better without them.
